 Why should I have my dog groomed?
Most pet owners confuse "grooming" with "clipping." Clipping (which is commonly done to poodles, spaniels, terriers, as well as mixed breed dogs), is only one procedure in the grooming process. Grooming's also include combing and brushing, cutting nails and plucking hair from ears. Although the most obvious result of these procedures is an improved appearance, the major benefits to your pet are increased comfort and social acceptability, and perhaps even improved health.
Do all dogs need grooming?
All dogs need an occasional bath, but it is more important to keep your dog combed and brushed, especially if your dog has long hair. Matted hair can easily cause skin problems and unnecessary discomfort for your pet. If neglected for too long, it might eventually necessitate a lengthy grooming session, which could be uncomfortable for your pet and expensive for you. Regular brushing on the other hand, improves your dog's skin tone and circulation, and makes the coat healthier and more attractive.

Q: Do I need an appointment to have my pet groomed?
A: Yes, grooming is done by appointment ONLY
Q: How soon can I get an appointment with you?
A: Due to the high demand of grooming services, The Natural Dog Spa is generally booked 1-2 weeks in advance. Occasionally, an appointment may become available sooner due to cancellations or changes in schedule. Please call 727-733-5500 or email to check availability. Spring, summer and the holiday season are the busiest times, so please call well ahead of time! Booking a regular, standing appointment is the best way to ensure your pet gets the grooming he or she deserves, without the wait!
Q: How much does grooming cost?
A: Because of the extremely HIGH quality products that we use in our salon~please understand that every dog has its own needs, and treatments and can range differently even though breed and size is given consideration. Regularly groomed animals should fall into the lower range given unless there is more extensive work required (dematting, handstripping, show clip, special handling). Most grooms start at $35 and go up from there. This does not include Pugs, chihs, and hairless breeds.
Q: Do you do cats?
A: No
Q: How long do I leave my pet?
A: We generally need to allow 3-4 hours for the grooming process, and the FULL SPA treatments that we give, sometimes longer if there is extensive work to be done or we are exceptionally busy. In special cases, we may be able to finish your pet in less time. If your pet has special needs, please let us know.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Please give us 24 hour notice.
